In 2015, Karen and Dave opened Abiding Joy Senior Care Home to provide people with the care that they deserve but seldom receive at large, corporate-owned care facilities. Dave had been a director at large assisted livings and Karen had been a nurse for many years. Karen's grandfather, when he was in an assisted living, encouraged them to start a care home that fixed the problems with large buildings.

Decades of experience led us to bring all of the good things and then combine them with the personalized care of a registered nurse. Nurse Karen lives down the hall, which means peace of mind for families, knowing your loved one is receiving exceptional care, unmatched in the DFW.

Only 3 people means everyone receives loving attention whenever they need help.

My mother has been living at this home for several years and considers the Raschios her family! They absolutely care for her and love her as though she is part of their family. I cannot imagine feeling more secure and at ease with my mother at any other facility. They advocate for her and are so in tune with her medical needs! She is so much healthier and happier living with them. They eat homemade meals together, take her to doctors appointments and Bible study and a variety of other things she enjoys. They are truly wonderful. I am beyond thankful they consider this work their calling.
